Community Wellness Workshops
Our monthly online Sickle Cell Wellness Workshops bring together adults living with SCD, their carers, and family members for two hours of evidence-based education, practical tools, and community connection. Sessions are hosted online for maximum accessibility and recorded for participants who cannot attend live.
The 6-Week Community Nutrition Programme
A structured, group-based programme delivering six sessions of evidence-based nutritional education for individuals living with Sickle Cell Disorder and chronic illness. Suitable for referral by GP practices, SCD clinics, charities, and Local Authority public health teams. Sessions cover: anti-inflammatory eating, hydration for SCD, gut health, supplement basics, meal planning for chronic illness, and building sustainable nutritional habits.
A single SCD emergency hospital admission costs the NHS an estimated £1,500–£3,000. Commissioning this programme for 15 people costs less than a single admission — and its impact is preventative, lasting, and community-building.
